CAMP

Camp 

Camp is the highlight of every member’s year. 

Camp 

A typical camp day begins at 9 am and we aim to finish with all children on the way home by

5 pm. Ponies can stabled overnight or can be turned out for the 3 nights in CoilÓg. Riders get the chance to ride twice a day with our qualified instructors as well as learning stable management. Not to mention the fun, lunchtime games and lifelong friends made throughout the week.

It is held in the first week of July in CoilÓg Equestrian Centre for 4 days.This year it is provisionally booked from Tuesday 30th June to Friday 3rd July 2020,  we are awaiting guidance from IPC on whether we can proceed with this due to COVID 19. 

Senior Camp (Over 12 & with C Test)

This is will be held in Annaharvey Farm, over 3 days. All kids attending will be staying over night onsite with ponies also staying onsite either in stabling or paddocks provided.This year it is provisionally booked from Wednesday 8th July to 10th July 2020,  we are awaiting guidance from IPC on whether we can proceed with this due to COVID 19.

It is essential that your pony has a passport with up to date vaccinations, as no pony will be allowed into camp without this. It’s a good idea to ensure this is in order at the beginning of the year to avoid disappointment. Please call a committee member if in any doubt.

It is essential to attend at least 3 ridden rallies before camp. A list of what to bring & application form will be emailed out in the preceding weeks.

Camp is a very full on week so all help from parents is needed and greatly appreciated whether you have horsey experience or not. Help is required for camp set up, instructor assistance during camp week, providing drinks to the hard working children through the day and for catering for our workers. Bringing a dessert, cooked dish or salad one of the days for our helpers and instructors would be highly valued!
